My name is JoJo Phillips
I set up Journaling Matters CIC in 2024 to help people improve their mental wellbeing through expressive writing. Journaling comes in many forms - from daily tracking, to scrap-booking, to deep-dives into our emotions and experiences. My goal is to bring this powerful and free tool to as many people as possible.
I'm a writer - of novels, non-fiction & audio drama - and I have a Masters in Creative Writing. I'm neurodivergent (Autistic), and have struggled throughout my life with mental health problems. Journaling has helped me, and many others, navigate life's difficulties and understand myself better. I now teach and facilitate journaling workshops for local and national communities, including (but not limited to) teens and young people, the older generation, neurodivergent people, and anyone who can benefit from this easy, accessible practice.
