Our New Journal Club is a Chance to Connect - With Other People and With Yourself!

On the last Tuesday of every month, at 7.30pm UK time, something special is happening. All kinds of people, from wherever they are in the world, are getting together to share an hour of journaling.
And it's making a huge difference!

Journal Club is our latest idea here at Journaling Matters CIC, and we're coming up to our third month of offering this free online session. It's fun, it's easy, and yes - it's free.
What is Journal Club?
Quite simply, it's a monthly online session where you can get together, over Zoom, with people who are also interested in journaling. It's not a course or a workshop - it's just an opportunity to carve out some time in your busy schedule to connect.
And we're not just talking about connecting with others - even though that's great for our mental wellbeing. Journal Club is a chance to connect with ourselves.
How many times have you planned to write in your journal - or just start a journal! - and that time has been swallowed up by all the other things on your To Do list? Or have you managed to sit down with your journal and then... nothing. There's either too much to write about and you can't even begin, or you have zero inspiration and a completely blank mind.
What's where we can help. At Journaling Matters we are all about gentle encouragement - and passionate to spread the word on how beneficial the act of expressive writing can be.
It doesn't have to be writing - you can voice-note your journal, or scrap book, or doodle, whatever makes sense to you. Journaling is as unique as you are. There's no right or wrong way to do it.

What Happens at Journal Club?
The first rule of Journal Club is... there are no rules! What happens depends upon who shows up - there's no obligation to attend every month, and each session will be different. But I will always have prompts and a bit of a theme for those who are struggling to get started.
This is a time for us to simply journal together. Camera on or off, connecting in the chat or not, the choice is yours. We don't share what we journal - that is private and just for us. But it's incredible how powerful setting aside an hour of your time on a regular basis can be - especially if that hour is spent on an activity that's proven to improve our wellbeing.
Our next session is at the end of October 2025, but if you miss it don't worry - you can sign up any time here and the club meets every month.
And if you are looking for a kick-start to your journaling and you don't want to wait until the end of the month, get your copy of our new Free guide: How To Start Journaling (When You Don't Know What To Write) right here.
As always, happy journaling,
JoJo x
